AHAFO REGIONAL MINISTER, HON. (MRS.) CHARITY GARDINER LEADS STAFF OF THE RCC TO FORMALLY WELCOME NEW REGIONAL CO-ORDINATING DIRECTOR

The Ahafo Regional Co-ordinating Council (AhRCC) led by the Hon. Regional Minister,
Hon. Mrs. Charity Gardiner, has formally welcomed its newly appointed Acting Regional Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Joseph Frimpong Naayo, at a brief ceremony held on Friday, 19th September 2025, at the RCC Conference Room in Goaso.

As part of the ceremony, management formally introduced the various heads of
departments and staff members of the RCC to Mr. Naayo. The introductions were meant
to familiarize the new RCD with the personnel he would be working with and to create an enabling environment for collaboration.

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, who chaired the occasion, delivered the remarks which paved the way for the official introduction of the Regional Co-ordinating Director. She noted that the appointment of Mr. Naayo was a strategic step by the Head of Local Government Service to strengthen administrative efficiency in
the Ahafo Region.

Hon. Gardiner described Mr. Naayo as a seasoned public servant with a proven track record of commitment and professionalism. She expressed confidence that his leadership would bring renewed energy to the RCC’s operations and urged staff and stakeholders to give him their full cooperation. She noted that she and the government would becounting on his expertise to ensure effective coordination of policies and programs across the municipalities and districts.

In his remarks, the Acting Regional Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Joseph Frimpong Naayo, expressed gratitude to the Head of Service for the trust reposed in him. He pledged to work diligently in collaboration with the Regional Minister, Municipal and District Chief Executives and staff of the RCC to accelerate the development agenda of the region. He
emphasized teamwork, discipline and efficiency as his guiding principles and assured staff that his office would remain open for dialogue and collective problem-solving.

The event also featured optional goodwill messages from some staff members, who expressed their excitement about working under the leadership of Mr. Naayo. They
highlighted the need for teamwork, open communication and continuous capacity
building to strengthen the RCC’s role in regional development.

The staff of the RCC warmly welcomed Mr. Naayo and expressed optimism that his
leadership would further enhance efficiency, unity which would result in the smooth running of the Council’s operations.

The ceremony was attended by officials from the Centralized and decentralized
departments and agencies in the region, who also pledged their cooperation and
collaboration with the Acting Regional Co-ordinating Director.
