Regional MinisterHon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, is a distinguished businesswoman and Human Resource Professional with nearly a decade of experience. She possesses strong credentials in the non-profit and humanitarian sectors, with a particular passion for girl-child education and women empowerment. Her dedication to social and community service has significantly impacted human lives, fostering education as well as economic opportunities for women and young girls. Hon. Gardiner holds both a Masters and a Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, equipping her with the competence to drive strategic human capital development and regional progress to meet the aspirations of the people of Ahafo.
Mr. Joseph Frimpong Naayo
Regional Coordinating DirectorMr. Joseph Frimpong Naayo is a seasoned Development Planner with nearly three decades of experience in local governance and regional development, specialising in planning, monitoring, evaluation, coordination and multi stakeholder engagement to address community challenges. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Resource Development, a Postgraduate Diploma and an MSc. in Regional Development Planning and Management. He is also a proud member of the Ghana Institute of Planners (GIP). As the administrative and bureaucratic head of the Ahafo Regional Co ordinating Council and principal advisor to the Regional Minister, he provides strategic direction and ensures the efficient management of regional resources. In this role, he leads coordination, monitoring and supervision of administrative and technical operations across departments, public institutions and agencies to optimise service delivery and advance regional development goals. His in-depth knowledge enables him to combine technical expertise in regional planning with practical leadership in public administration to advance the regional development agenda.
VISION: To make Ahafo Region the most preferred choice for investment, work and habitation in Ghana where people are inspired to be the best they can be.
MISSION: The Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council exists to secure the overall development of Ahafo Region through effective coordination, harmonization, monitoring and evaluation of policies, programmes and plans of the District Assemblies, Departments and Agencies and Non-Governmental Organisations.
OBJECTIVE: To coordinate, monitor and evaluate implementation of Government policies and programmes in Ahafo Region and also to provide institutional and human capacity and enabling environment for effective, efficient and sustainable service delivery.
Service Delivery Standards: Participation, Professionalism, Client Focus, Transparency, Efficient and Effective use of Resources and Accountability.
