AHAFO REGIONAL MINISTER INSPECTS AGENDA 111 HOSPITAL PROJECT SITE IN KENYASI

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, on Thursday 20th November 2025, visited Kenyasi to inspect the ongoing Agenda 111 Hospital Project.

Her visit aimed at assessing the current state of work in order to prepare a comprehensive report for the government, which will guide the decision on whether the project will be included among the hospitals selected for completion under the new administration.

She was accompanied by government officials, a team from the Ahafo Regional Co-ordinating Council led by the Ag. Regional Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Joseph Frimpong Naayo, as well as personnel from the various security agencies and members of the media.

During the inspection, the Minister toured key areas of the project, including the outpatient department, maternity wing, emergency unit, laboratory block, staff accommodation, and other major facilities under construction.

The visit formed part of the government’s nationwide assessment of ongoing and abandoned health infrastructure projects, as the NDC administration plans to prioritise the completion of 10 of the Agenda 111 hospital projects.

Hon. (Mrs.) Gardiner emphasized that the government’s decision on which projects to complete will be based on technical assessments, level of progress, and community need. She noted that the Kenyasi project is a crucial facility for the district and expressed hope that her findings would support a strong case for its inclusion.

She reiterated that she would need the full co-operation and support of all stakeholders including traditional
authorities, district assemblies, opinion leaders, and community members to effectively carry out her duties as
Regional Minister and ensure the successful delivery of government projects in the region.
