The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, together with the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs), the Hon. Member of Parliament for Asunafo North Constituency and officials of the Ahafo Regional Co-ordinating Council (AhRCC), on Monday, 27th April 2026, embarked on a joint inspection of ongoing road projects across the Ahafo Region.

The visit provided an opportunity for the team to take a critical look at the progress of work and reaffirm government’s commitment to delivering durable and quality road infrastructure for the people of the region. Speaking during the tour, the Regional Minister emphasized that road infrastructure goes beyond physical construction. She noted that the projects represent lifelines to opportunity, dignity, and a better future for communities across Ahafo, as improved roads enhance mobility, boost trade and increase access to essential services.

A key highlight of the inspection was the 55-kilometre Bediako–Kasapin–Camp 15 road, which stretches into the Western North Region. The project is steadily progressing and is scheduled for completion in November 2027, bringing renewed hope to residents and road users.

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza, reiterated government’s determination to strengthen road connectivity to support economic growth, reduce travel time and improve the livelihoods of residents, particularly farmers and traders who rely heavily on road transport.

Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner commended the Roads Ministry and contractors for the progress made and assured residents that all projects in the region would be closely monitored to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards. Government remains committed to expanding and modernizing the road network in the Ahafo Region as part of its broader agenda to accelerate national development.
