AHAFO REGIONAL MINISTER RECEIVES OFFICIALS FROM ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES LTD (AESL)

The Hon. Regional Minister for Ahafo, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, has expressed concern over the delay in completing the new Ahafo Regional Administration Block, stating that it is creating significant administrative challenges for the Regional Co-ordinating Council (RCC).
She made these remarks on Wednesday, 26th March, 2025, when officials from the Architectural and Engineering Services Ltd (AESL) paid a courtesy visit to her office.

The Hon. Regional Minister bemoaned the slow progress of work, noting that, in her estimation, the contractor had abandoned the project site. She emphasized that the delay is not only straining the limited financial resources of the Council but is also exacerbating office accommodation challenges for regional departments that depend on the RCC for workspace. She urged AESL, as the project’s official consultant, to provide the necessary technical oversight to expedite the project’s completion.

The AESL officials also took the opportunity to congratulate the Hon. Regional Minister on her appointment. They expressed their eagerness about working with her, stating that the warm reception they received reaffirmed their belief that her tenure would be impactful and beneficial to the people of Ahafo. They assured her of their commitment to using all legal means to facilitate the early completion of the administration project and other projects within their purview, acknowledging that the delays had been unwarranted.
