CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE MICROFINANCE AND SMALL LOANS CENTRE (MASLOC) PAYS COURTESY CALL ON AHAFO RCC

The Ag. Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Madam Abigail Akwambea Mensah, on Wednesday, 30th April, 2025, paid a courtesy call on the Ahafo Regional Co-ordinating Council (AhRCC) as part of a working visit to the region. The visit makes Ahafo the second (2nd) region to be toured by the Ag. CEO, following a similar tour in the Western North Region.

During the brief visit, the Ag. CEO was warmly received by Mr. Sampson Amoako Kwarteng, the Chief Director of the AhRCC, on behalf of the Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner. Discussions centered on deepening collaboration between MASLOC and the Regional Co-ordinating Council as well as the Districts to enhance access to microfinance support for small businesses and local entrepreneurs across the region.

Mr. Kwarteng expressed appreciation for the visit and reiterated the RCC’s readiness to support MASLOC’s work in the region. He highlighted the importance of timely access to microloans and capacity-building opportunities in empowering local businesses and reducing unemployment.

The Ag. CEO of MASLOC on her part thanked the Chief Director for the warm reception accorded her. She indicated her intentions to return at a later date to hold further talks aimed at expanding the operations of the centre in the Region. Madam Abigail A. Mensah also seized the opportunity to inspect offices allocated for MASLOC’s Regional and District operations to assess their readiness and suitability for staff deployment and client services. The visit accentuates MASLOC’s renewed commitment and strategy to decentralize its operations and bringing financial services closer to the people.

She is expected to continue her regional tour with similar visits to other regions in the coming weeks.
