HUNGARIAN EMBASSY TO COLLABORATE WITH AHAFO REGION ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF HOSPITAL THEATRES AND DOCTORS BUNGALOWS.

The Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mr. András Szabó and his deputy high commissioner, Mr. David Békési on Wednesday 21st April, 2021 received a business delegation from the Ahafo Region at the Hungarian Embassy, Accra.

The Regional Minister, Hon. George Boakye commended the Hungarian government and Embassy for their contribution towards the development of Ghana. He further emphasized that the interest of the Ahafo region is to develop cooperative relationships with Hungary with respect to investment sectors such as agriculture, health, education, and tourism.

Hon. Boakye added that the Ahafo region is open for investment in the aforementioned areas due to the potential of the region.

His Excellency András Szabó also expatiated Hungary’s mission in Ghana; which has over the past few years been to strengthen bilateral relations in the various sectors of Ghana’s economy; agriculture, health, education and sanitation – Wastewater treatment.

He, in furtherance, postulated that his office and Hungarian partners have a high interest in collaborating with the Ahafo Region on the construction of hospital theatres and doctors’ bungalows.

The Minister used the opportunity to summarize the commitment of H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic, to fight against Covid-19.

Present at the meeting were the Business Development Assistant, Ms. Emmanuella N. Atkins; NPP Asunafo South Constituency Chairman, Kwadwo Mensah and a Special Aide to the Regional Minister, Antwi Moses.
