On Tuesday, 28th April, 2026, a delegation from World Vision Ghana paid a courtesy call on the Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, at her office at the Regional Co-ordinating Council (RCC) as part of efforts to deepen collaboration in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector.
The meeting provided a platform for discussions on the impact of the ongoing WASH interventions being implemented by World Vision Ghana across communities in the Ahafo Region. These projects have significantly improved access to clean and safe drinking water, enhanced sanitation facilities, and promoted good hygiene
practices among residents.
Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner commended World Vision Ghana for its sustained support and impactful interventions, noting that their efforts continue to play a vital role in improving public health, reducing waterborne diseases and enhancing the dignity and well-being of communities. She reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with development organizations to
expand access to essential WASH services, stressing that such collaborations are key to achieving inclusive development where no community is left behind. The Minister further emphasized that improved access to water and sanitation remains central to the government’s development agenda, as it supports healthier communities and contributes to overall socio-economic growth in the region.
The Ahafo Regional Economic Planning Officer, Mr. Jacob Adade Ntiamoah, also added his voice, commending World Vision Ghana for its interventions and highlighting the importance of effective co-ordination in aligning WASH projects with regional development priorities.
As part of the visit, World Vision Ghana presented a citation of honour to the Regional Minister in recognition of her leadership and commitment to promoting development and strengthening partnerships that advance WASH delivery in the region.
The World Vision Ghana team outlined their ongoing and completed WASH projects and expressed their readiness to continue working closely with the Regional Co-ordinating Council and relevant stakeholders to scale up interventions for greater impact. The visit concluded with a shared commitment to advancing water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives that continue to improve the quality of life for all residents in the region.
