The Ahafo Regional Branch of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), on Tuesday, 21st July, 2026, successfully conducted its Regional Executive Elections at the Asunafo North Municipal Assembly Hall in Goaso to elect leaders who will steer the affairs of the Association for the next four years.
The election brought together delegates from the various Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) as well asthe Ahafo Regional Co-ordinating Council. The exercise was conducted in a peaceful, transparent and orderly atmosphere under the supervision of the CLOGSAG National Executives, led by the Executive Secretary, Dr. Isaac Bampoe, to ensure a free, fair and credible electoral process.
Addressing delegates before the commencement of voting, Dr. Isaac Bampoe underscored the importance of unity, discipline, and democratic participation within the Association. He urged members to uphold the values of fairness, transparency and integrity throughout the electoral process and called on all contestants and delegates to accept the outcome of the elections in good faith. He further encouraged the incoming Regional Executives to provide visionary leadership, foster unity among members and work tirelessly to advance the welfare and professional interests of CLOGSAG members in the Ahafo Region.
At the close of polls, delegates elected Mr. Fritz Mensah as Regional Chairman, Madam Gloria Oti as Regional Treasurer, Mr. Desmond Kofi Badu as Regional Organizer and Mr. James Oware as Regional Trustee. The newly elected executives expressed their profound appreciation to delegates for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to serve with integrity, transparency and dedication. They assured members of their commitment to promoting the welfare of the Association, strengthening unity among staff, and effectively representing the interests of CLOGSAG members throughout the Ahafo Region during their four-year term of office.
The successful conduct of the Regional Executive Elections reaffirmed CLOGSAG’s commitment to democratic governance, accountability and effective leadership. The newly elected executives are expected to provide strategic leadership, promote the welfare and professional development of members, and strengthen the Association’s role in advancing the interests of civil and local government staff across the Ahafo Region over the next four years.
