The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, has expressed confidence in the government’s commitment to completing various road projects in the Ahafo Region.

Hon. (Mrs.) Gardiner made these remarks when she joined the Hon. Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza (MP) to inspect roads in the Region, as part of a one (1)-day official working visit to the Region, on Thursday, 2nd April, 2025.
The Hon. Regional Minister emphasized that the road sector is one of the most critical, as it connects all other sectors and facilitates trade, tourism, education, healthcare, and agriculture. She observed that the poor road network in the region had subjected residents to severe inconveniences in their daily lives. She added that since the President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has a proven track record of fulfilling his promises, she was sure that all the road and other ongoing projects would be completed to bring comfort to the people of Ahafo.

For his part, the Hon. Minister for Roads and Highways stated that the government will make the necessary funds available to enable contractors to return to the project sites and complete the works as soon as possible.
The Ministers of State and their entourage inspected the Tepa–Goaso Road, the Tano Bridge on the Achirensua–Ntotroso Road, Goaso Town Roads, Kasapin Road, Nobeko–Sankore Road, among others.
They were accompanied by traditional leaders, Hon. Members of Parliament, Heads of Departments, political party sympathizers, security personnel, and members of the general public.
