COURTESY VISIT OF THE HEADMISTRESS AND STUDENTS OF THE SERWAA KESSE GIRLS’ SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TO THE AHAFO REGIONAL MINISTER

On Thursday, 8th May, 2025, the Headmistress of Serwaa Kesse Girls Senior High School at Duayaw Nkwanta, together with a delegation of students paid a courtesy visit on the Ahafo Region Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner.

The purpose of the visit was twofold: to extend their heartfelt congratulations to the Minister on her recent appointment and assumption of office as well as to inform her about the outstanding achievement of the School during the 68th Independence Anniversary Debate competition held in Accra.

During the visit, the Headmistress proudly announced that Serwaa Kesse Girls SHS had secured Second (2nd) position at the national level of the prestigious debate competition. Prior to this success, the school had excelled at both the Zonal and Regional levels placing 1st in Goaso, which earned them a spot in the national finals.

The debate which focused on the topic “68 Years of Independence has fulfilled the Dreams of the Forebears” showcased the eloquence, critical thinking and intellectual prowess of the students.

The Headmistress expressed deep gratitude to the Minster for her unwavering support which contributed significantly to the school’s participation and performance in the contest. As part of the recognition, the debate contestants received medals and assorted products from Cowbell, the official sponsors of the event.

Additionally, the Headmistress took the opportunity to appeal to the Minister for assistance in providing a befitting place of convenience for the students.

In her response, the Hon. Regional Minister warmly congratulated the students and staff for their splendid performance. She encouraged them to maintain the high standards they had set and continue striving for excellence. Regarding the provision of the toilet facility, the Minster assured them of her support and advised that an official request be submitted so that she could engage the appropriate authorities for further action.

The visit concluded on a positive note with photographs and expressions of appreciation exchanged between the delegation and the Minister.

The delegation included, Ms. Korantemaa Serwaa Melody Magdalene, Ms. Nana Serwaa Comfort, Mr. Daniel Asiedu, Mr. Kumi Michael and Mrs. Margaret AnaneAdjei.
