PRINCIPAL, STAFF AND STUDENTS OF THE ST. JOHN OF GOD COLLEGE OF HEALTH PAY A COURTESY CALL ON AHAFO REGIONAL MINISTER

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, on Thursday, 8th May, 2025, received a courtesy visit from the Principal, Staff and Students of the St. John of God College of Health, a highly prestigious institution located at DuayawNkwanta in the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region. The visit was both to extend formal greetings and to share a recent academic achievement by the college’s students.

The delegation, led by the Principal, Madam Dorcas Addo congratulated Hon. Gardiner on her appointment and commended her early show of commitment and leadership in regional development. She expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded them in spite of the tight schedules of statecraft, describing it as a reflection of the Minister’s openness and genuine interest in the progress of health education in the region.

During the interface, the college shared news of a significant academic feat attained by two (2) of their students, who emerged as best trainees among students from seven selected institutions in the zone. Madam Dorcas Addo underscored the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and professional health training, particularly in the area of physiotherapy/orthopedics and trauma management. The Principal noted that such successes are a testament to the dedication of both staff and students. She also observed that it was a reflection of the college’s continuous pursuit of high standards.

Hon. (Mrs.) Gardiner, in her response, congratulated the college on its remarkable achievement and expressed pride in the institution’s contribution to human resource development in the health sector. She encouraged the leadership and students to remain focused, committed, and innovative.

Addressing the students directly, she said, that their achievement was a source of pride not only to the institution but to the entire Ahafo Region. Hon. Mrs. Gardiner thus expressed confidence that with continued dedication, the College of Health will attain even greater heights and become a household name.

The visit ended on a cordial note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to working together to advance health education and regional development.
