The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, on Thursday, 8th May, 2025, warmly received a delegation of Principals from the various Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges across the Ahafo Region. The courtesy call, led by Ms. Aisha Sena, Principal of the College of Nursing at Ntotroso, aimed to formally engage with the Minister and explore avenues for collaboration and support.


The delegation congratulated Hon. Gardiner on her appointment and wished her a successful tenure, expressing confidence that her leadership would usher in significant development for the region. They also took the opportunity to raise a key logistical concern, appealing for the replacement of aging official vehicles and school buses used by their institutions to support administrative and academic activities.
In her response, Hon. Gardiner expressed heartfelt appreciation for the visit and the kind words shared. She assured the principals of her unwavering support and reiterated her strong interest in the growth and development of nursing and midwifery education in the region.
She further indicated that she considers herself a proud member of the nursing and midwifery fraternity and asked them to feel free to reach out whenever they needed any assistance.

• Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed – College of Health, Yamfo
• Mad. Dorcas Addo – College of Health, Duayaw Nkwanta
The visit ended on a positive note, sending a strong signal of an era of strengthened ties between the Regional Co-ordinating Council and the health training institutions in the Ahafo Region.
