GOASO NURSING AND MIDWIFERY TRAINING COLLEGE HOLDS 15TH MATRICULATION CEREMONY

The Goaso Nursing and Midwifery Training College has held its 15th Matriculation Ceremony to welcome a new batch of nursing and midwifery students into the institution. The event, held under the theme “Excellence Our Priority – Empowering Future Nurses and Midwives for Global Impact,” drew stakeholders from the health sector, traditional authorities, and government officials.
A representative from the Ahafo Regional Co-ordinating Council, Ms. Matilda Afia Boakyewaa, speaking on behalf of the Hon. Regional Minister, applauded the College’s commitment to excellence over the years and encouraged the matriculants to pursue their studies with discipline, dedication and purpose.
The speech highlighted key healthcare reforms outlined in the 2024 Resetting Ghana Manifesto, including the prompt payment of trainee allowances, expansion of student loan access to nursing trainees, ethical migration policies, increased admission capacities and incentives for service in deprived communities.
Matriculants were urged to uphold professionalism, maintain modesty, and aim for academic excellence while staff were commended for their continued dedication to the institution’s mission.
The ceremony marked a new chapter of opportunity for both students and the College as it continues to shape the future of healthcare delivery in Ghana.
