VISIT OF OFFICIALS FROM THE TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTION INSTITUTE, GOASO TO THE AHAFO REGIONAL MINISTER

On Tuesday, 20th May, 2025 a delegation from the Technological Solution Institute, Goaso paid a courtesy call on the Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner at her office at the Regional Co-ordinating Council, Goaso. The purpose of the visit was to officially congratulate the Hon. Regional Minister on her
appointment and to brief her on the programmes and activities of the Institute.

During the visit, the officials highlighted the key academic and technical
programmes offered by the Institutions which include:
• Building and Construction
• Fashion Design
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Welding and Fabrication

They also disclosed that the Institute currently has a student population of 772,
reflecting a growing interest in technical and vocational training in the region. The delegation further shared some of the pressing challenges facing the institution.

These include:
• Inadequate classroom blocks to accommodate the increasing student
population.
• Need of boarding facilities for the students from distant communities.
• The absence of a modern well-equipped workshop for hands-on practical
training.

In her response, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner expressed her appreciation for the visit and the kind words of congratulations. She commended the leadership of the technological Solution Institute for the commitment to skills development and acknowledged the critical role of technical education in national development.
The Hon. Regional Minister assured the delegation of her unwavering support and that of the NDC government in addressing the challenges facing the Institution.

She emphasized the need for collaboration efforts to strengthen technical education and promised to advocate for the necessary resources to enhance the Institutes capacity
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing optimism and the future partnership aimed at advancing technical and vocational education in the Ahafo Region.
